Small and Family Business Ministerial Reference Group

The Small and Family Business Ministerial Reference Group was established to better understand the perspectives of small and family businesses, providing valuable insights to support better informed decisions.

The group is a key initiative from the Small and Family Business First Action Statement to focus on strengthening stakeholder engagement to ensure more Queensland businesses start, grow and thrive.

Members include small and family business owners and experts and who represent diverse industries across Queensland’s small business sector.

  • Phil Di Bella - Hospitality / Industry Group (Brisbane)
  • Stacey Head - Manufacturing / Retail (Brisbane)
  • Tyler Krogh - Building and Construction (Hughenden)
  • Michael Nelson – Tourism (Cairns)
  • Pauline Pickering - Accounting (Warwick)
  • Martin Roller - Automotive (Redcliffe)
  • Leanne Rudd - Accounting (Bundaberg)
  • Angela Scott - Building and Construction (Hervey Bay)
  • Terry Slaughter - Logistics, Retail (Springfield Lakes, Ipswich)

Further members may be added to this group over time to ensure engagement across regions and industries.

The Small and Family Business Ministerial Reference Group works alongside regional departmental services and program feedback channels to contribute to policies and deliver practical support for small and family businesses statewide.
