More than 105,000 Queensland tradies can now add their work licences to our Queensland Digital Licence app.

Tradies can add their Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) licences to the app, providing a secure option to maintain and show their work credentials.

If you're a homeowner, having QBCC licences in the Digital Licence app means increased confidence and peace of mind, knowing the licence information your tradie provides you in the app is up-to-date, legitimate and secure.

Licence types

QBCC licences available via the Digital Licence app include:

  • building certifier
  • contractor
  • fire occupational
  • mechanical services occupational
  • nominee supervisor
  • plumbing and drainage
  • pool safety inspector
  • site supervisor.

Our Digital Licence app already provides access to:

  • driver licence
  • recreational marine licence
  • photo identification card.

Uptake

More than 6,300 tradies have opted to go digital since the initial 30 September rollout of digital QBCC licences for pool safety inspectors and site supervisors.

The final group of digital licences in the roll out were made available to 70,000 tradies on 4 November.

More than 1.1 million Queenslanders signed up to use the app and around 1,000 new users are signing up each day.
